A shrinking pool of 'crypto-curious' after FTX

Dr Irene Guiamatsia from Investment Trends comes to the show to talk about how Crypto investors have weathered extreme turbulence in the past year, so how has it impacted investor behaviour? Investment Trends’ inaugural dedicated consumer research into behaviours of cryptocurrency investors. Research carried out in three countries simultaneously – Australia, UK, US.

Close to 2 million  Australian adults have been exposed to cryptocurrencies, 

• Out of which an estimated 850,000 made a transaction last year
• 710,000 hold but were not active
• 390,000 have held in the past but no longer do so
• The number of Australian active crypto users is more than half the number of active investors in listed securities. This multiplying factor is par in the UK  and close to two in the US
